Save the Date cards and magnets

What are Save the Date cards?

Save the date cards have become a popular way of letting your guests know of your wedding date well in advance, to ensure that they keep the date free. You can then post out your actual wedding invitations nearer the time (3-4 months before the wedding date usually) when you have all of your wedding details confirmed (times, etc).

When should i send out Save the Dates?

Save the date cards should be sent out 9-12 months in advance. You can send them out 5-8 months in advance if you wish, but 9-12 months is advised if possible.

Do i really need to send them?

We advise that you send out Save the Date cards or magnets if you are having a summer wedding, a xmas wedding, or a wedding at any other time over a school holiday (Easter, half terms, bank holiday weekends). We also advise that you send out Save the Dates if you are getting married abroad (giving guests the maximum time possible to save money and book time off work).

What’s the difference between a card and a magnet?

Save the date cards are more traditional, and they can be single-sided (printed just on the front) or double-sided (printed front and back). Magnets are a novel way to ensure your guests don’t lose your card, as they can stick it to their fridge! Magnets for the Vintage Swirls design are shown below…
